AMIRA THE MIRACLE — MULTI-PAGE MEDIA KIT & BRAND POSTER DESIGN – Ali Bakhit

1. Project Overview & Strategy 💡

I designed this multi-channel promotional media kit poster for Amira the Miracle to establish a cohesive, empathetic, and highly professional visual presence for brand sponsorships. Amira is a rescue dog whose story of overcoming physical disability resonates with millions globally.

The primary objective was to synthesize heavy quantitative data (reach metrics, follower growth, engagement rates) with an emotionally compelling narrative (rescue journey, community values) into a visually striking page layout. The design acts as a high-converting pitch deck alternative, engineered specifically to attract brand partnerships, pet-care sponsors, and disability awareness campaigns.

2. Comprehensive Technical Workflow & Software Execution 🛠️

Adobe InDesign (Layout & Document Architecture)

Grid System & Page Geometry: I constructed a strict 12-column modular grid with 0.25-inch margins and a 0.125-inch bleed zone in Adobe InDesign. This structural grid aligned disparate content blocks, ensuring perfect balance between visual assets and text heavy statistics.
Typography & Hierarchy Engine: I established a robust typographic hierarchy using clean sans-serif typography. I built Paragraph Styles for Primary Headers (Bold 24pt), Subsection Headers (Semibold 16pt), Body Copy (Regular 10pt with 14pt leading), and Stat Numbers (Bold 14pt Accent). Character Styles were applied for highlighted inline key terms to maintain consistent formatting across all sections.
Text Wrap & Frame Layering: Integrated precise Text Wrap offset boundaries around photo frames and vector heart containers, maintaining uniform 12px spatial gutters around all graphic elements.

Adobe Photoshop (Photo Manipulation & Asset Preparation)

Non-Destructive Retouching: Applied Camera Raw filtering, color correction, and exposure leveling to high-resolution hero imagery. Shadows were pulled to recover texture in Amira’s brindle fur, while highlights were compressed to preserve environmental details.
Advanced Masking & Cutouts: Utilized Select Subject paired with Refine Edge and Hair-Selection masks to generate razor-sharp cutouts of Amira. These were placed onto transparent backgrounds and saved as uncompressed Smart Objects (.PSD format) to preserve full dynamic range.
Tonal Grading & Adjustment Layers: Applied targeted Color Balance, Selective Color, and Vibrance adjustment layers. I increased warmth in background foliage while shifting the pink harness towards a vivid, color-calibrated magenta tint for high visual impact.

Adobe Illustrator (Vector Graphics & Custom Asset Design)

Custom Vector Framing: Designed precision vector heart frames, polaroid clip accents, and custom paw-print emblem artwork. All paths were crafted using vector Bezier curves on an exact pixel grid.
Iconography & Custom Badges: Vectorized key social media icons (Instagram, TikTok, Location pin, Email envelope) and custom metric badges. Color fills were matched directly to the core brand swatches.
SVG & EPS Export Pipeline: Converted vector shapes into native Illustrator smart vectors and linked them directly into InDesign using non-destructive file placing.

3. Design System, Color Psychology & Asset Sourcing 🎨

Primary Palette — Mint Aqua (HEX A8E0D8): Serves as the overarching background field. Aqua evokes trust, emotional healing, calmness, and freshness, offsetting the heavy emotional nature of a rescue story.
Accent Palette — Magenta Pink (HEX FF007F): Used on primary callouts, email anchors, and Amira’s vest accents. Pink communicates warmth, compassion, and vibrancy while drawing immediate visual focus to high-priority contact information.
Secondary Palette — Deep Slate (HEX 1E293B): Applied across all body paragraphs and structural headers to ensure optimal contrast ratios (WCAG AAA compliant) against the soft background field.
Highlight Palette — Crimson Red (HEX E11D48): Reserved exclusively for key metrics (173,000+, 2.4M, 7%) and accent heart elements to emphasize numerical performance.
Asset Sourcing & Stock Libraries: High-resolution lifestyle photography sourced via client archives and Adobe Stock; color swatches generated and validated via Adobe Color for exact CMYK/RGB print-to-digital translation.
